...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 AM PDT THIS MORNING FOR MUCH
OF SANTA BARBARA, VENTURA, AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following
counties, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Ventura.
* WHEN...Until 730 AM PDT.
* IMPACTS...There will be flooding of roadways, small streams, and
creeks. In addition, there will be an increased risk of rock and
mudslides, especially in and near the lower mountains and canyon
roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 136 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate rainfall
across the region. Rainfall rates are expected to increase
later tonight into early Tuesday morning. Rainfall rates
between 0.25 and 0.50 inches per hour will be common, with
local rates up to 0.75 inches across favored south facing
slopes. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the advisory area through early Tuesday morning. This
additional rain will result in flooding.

Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Ventura, Santa Maria, Santa
Barbara, Camarillo, Lompoc, Fillmore, Malibu, Acton, Ojai,
Wrightwood, Agoura Hills, Chatsworth, Woodland Hills, Santa
Clarita and Northridge.
